Every six months, participants will complete self-administered surveys, gathering data on environmental attitudes, environmentally relevant behaviors, and public acceptance of environmental policies. These data will be made available to the international research community as Scientific Use Files. GLEN will provide valuable insights for a wide range of research questions in sociology, psychology, and economics: What shapes environmental attitudes, behaviors, and policy acceptance? How do environmental policies impact social redistribution? And how do different population groups experience environmental conditions in their local areas\u2014such as noise pollution, air quality, access to transportation infrastructure, and green spaces?<\/p>\n
The project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) as a long-term initiative.
